Let It Go by Nathalie Mourot
About the Exhibition
The Let It Go series was produced in 2014, mainly in Tuscany, Italy.
It is an invitation to an inner journey, an observation of our ability to disconnect from our everyday environment and find ourselves elsewhere. Vacation destinations often offer this liberating impulse to take a step back, or forward. Taking a break means: accepting uncertainty, exploring new ideas, dreaming of other possibilities where creativity can express itself freely, and letting our imagination run wild.
About the Artist
Nathalie Mourot is a French photographer based in Paris, collaborating with various press, media and advertising clients over the past 20 years. Throughout her artistic journey – punctuated by travels and unexpected encounters – Nathalie takes a tender and mischievous look through her lens. She explores everyday life as a vast playground where bodies wander freely, pose and rest.
Between shadows and light, variable geometries, colours and B&W, the horizon appears like a non-linear line of life, the peaks brush the clouds and the waves splash the sky. Photographs are intentionally unfixed, inviting the lens of the viewer to frame a story of their own in which everything is possible.
