Central London Architects
As a practice based in the heart of Central London, the body of our work is also centred within this part of the city. We enjoy the rich architectural and historical environment, working with various urban layers accumulated over centuries. Our expertise working within conservation architecture areas and with listed buildings has been fostered by acquiring many planning consents within London’s most historic boroughs including Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea, the Borough of Westminster and the Borough of Camden. Whilst much of the practice’s portfolio is residential architecture, working with owner-occupier and developers clients, we also have a growing body of work within the hotel and hospitality sector as well as some mixed use retail and residential schemes.
Another aspect of working within Central London is the relationship with the Great Estates. Much of the land of London’s historic neighbourhoods are owned by historic aristocratic families and require additional Great Estate Licences in order to alter buildings. Projects have included properties within the Cadogan, Bedford and Grosvenor Estates.
Whilst the body of our work has come from works to historic structures in Central London, we also have a growing body of new-build projects, particularly within the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. Our experience working in these strict legislative environments and with historically sensitive buildings has led to success in securing new-build planning permissions in the sensitive historic contexts within Central London.
