Jimmy Cho

BDes BSc (Hons)

Jimmy joined Rodić Davidson Architects after completing his Part 1 qualification in Wales. Before joining the practice, he spent over a decade working in architectural visualisation, contributing to approximately 400 international design and development projects in various scale. Originally from South Korea and educated in Canada, Jimmy resumed his architectural career with renewed focus after relocating to the UK.

His final-year thesis imagined an experiential, food-centred institution that reconnected people with place through architectural storytelling. Positioned at the intersection of culture, community, and design, the project highlighted his interest in creating immersive environments through thoughtful spatial composition.

Jimmy has a particular interest in residential architecture and listed buildings, which he sees as cultural anchors that shape both personal and collective identity. This human-centred perspective is further reflected in his interest in the relationship between architecture and mental well-being, an area inspired by his wife, who is a practicing psychiatrist, as he explores how thoughtfully designed spaces can nurture comfort, emotional balance, and a sense of belonging.

In his spare time, he enjoys observing, sketching, and photographing traditional and vernacular architecture, and often travels to historic towns across the UK in search of inspiration.
