We are passionately committed to designing schemes that minimise environmental impact and optimise energy efficiency. Recent years have seen rapidly changing processes and technology. A combination of statutory regulation, client demand and our own aspiration has led to environmental sustainability being central to every project that we undertake.

We approach each scheme as an opportunity to reduce energy but we also believe that environmental awareness should not be viewed as a limitation of design potential – but rather as an important and exciting addition to the brief parameters.

We have very specific experience of the seamless integration of micro-generation technologies into prestigious central London refurbishment projects. For example, in 2011, we undertook a refurbishment project to a large house in Kensington which involved the installation of ground-source heat pumps, combined with dual output condensers allowing the heating and cooling of the entire house.

On another refurbishment project, again in a Conservation Area in Kensington, we installed a variety of micro-generation sources. PV panels were combined with a piled bore ground source heat pump and biomass boiler. Combined with extremely high standards of insulation to a newly formed basement and rear extension, these allowed us to meet CODE 4 for Sustainable Homes.
