Oscar Davies
Architectural Assistant

Oscar joined Rodic Davidson Architects after returning home following completing his part 1 qualification at Queen’s University Belfast.

His final year thesis envisioned developing a Community Hub on a derelict site on the banks of the River Lagan. The hub would reignite a sense of public ownership of the river, at the same time establishing a sustainable, mobile residential river community, centred around the revival of the Belfast Canal systems. Practically the scheme would create a public focal point that supports and brings together residents on the river and the local community. The schemes design embraced his interest in the use of traditional sustainable materials and building techniques, alongside innovative modern and experimental technologies which reflect his interest in the effects of climate change on architecture.

Since a young age he has had a great interest in residential architecture and the way people interact within their everyday spaces we call homes.

In his spare time, he enjoys gardening, football, discovering new music and all things nature.
