Eleanor Delaney
After reading Architecture at Newcastle University, Eleanor worked at an interior design studio in Toronto, where she specialised in the curation of restaurant and retail spaces before joining Rodić Davidson Architects in 2024. She has written on the role of history and politics within architecture – most notably in her thesis, ‘Colonial Encounters: The Experience of Place within the Mohawk Institute of Brantford, Ontario’ – and supported in developing drawings for construction on both sides of the Atlantic.
Adaptive reuse is an area of particular interest for Eleanor. Her final-year graduation project looked to repurpose an existing pumping station as an outdoor learning school, designed to encourage more eco-positive behaviours; and she has consistently made the case for a more fluid and environmentally responsible architecture that harnesses the potential of traditional and more sustainable crafts. She places considerable emphasis on locality in her approach to design.
Outside architecture, Eleanor enjoys watersports, travelling, and experiencing new food.
