At the heart of every Development Appraisal is an analysis of the planning policy. We look at this not only at a local level, but also with a national perspective to assess how changes in government policy could, potentially, impact upon the building/ site. We usually include a series of development options with an indication of the planning risk involved with each one. We are often asked to incorporate an agent’s specialist valuation advice and we have relationships with valuers, both in and out of London.
All predominantly focused South East, we have undertaken Development Appraisals on properties in many areas of the UK – from the North Cornish Coast, through to Wales and Yorkshire. We will agree a fixed fee and are very aware of the time-pressure often associated with the instruction. We can often work on a turn-around period of 7 days or less.
